I saw your title and my first thought was "poor will. Who's Will?" lol. I had a friend in college we all called skippy for a similar reason. Whenever someone would say, "damn skippy" he'd say "poor skippy' which of course led to more people starting to say "damn skippy" than you would generally expect to use that expression.
