....is similish for “What’s up?” apparently. I don’t know what’s funnier, that there are defined similish words online or that I went looking for them. This past weekend I re-installed the original Sims game after talking about it on
papertea's journal and talk about a flashback of the past. It’s amazing to think I use to spend hours playing this game when I was a teen. What was even funnier is that while I was re-installing and playing Sims, John was playing Witcher II on his Xbox. Naturally, comparisons were made.

Fights in Sims:

...well, technically fights in Sims are just giant dust clouds but slapping is where it all starts. I played the old game for about 40 minutes before nostalgia wore off and I missed all the things I could do in Sims 2 so I started playing the 2nd one again. I get into spurts where I play a lot for a week or two and then I don’t touch the game for like two months but I’m enjoying the current spurt. A while back I started a Queen Bee challenge with an original character for shits & giggles. Basically the Queen Bee challenge involves trying to get one female sims to have 60 kids with ten male sims, so six kids for each relationship and I’ve got a town half populated with a bunch of half siblings. It’s stupid but oddly fun. I’m currently trying to get the first three batches of kids through the college portion which is a bit tedious but thank goodness for time cheats. Sometimes I think I should just skip university but then it comes up in the damn wants and I can’t resist.
What else has been going on outside the renewed addiction to Sims 2? John and I went to the gym together for the first time. He used to have a Goodlife membership but we realized it was cheaper to add him to my membership with Aquarena Gym which is right next to my work place and part of the university. I’ve used the pool for years but never used the gym before because I’ve always been self conscious about using the machines so it was nice to have someone else with me.
We had a good time and we’re already planning a gym schedule. This is very good as I need to get back on track with exercising. When I lived alone I found it easier because I could just go whenever I wanted but moving in together has thrown off my exercise and eating habits a lot. We’ve improved in our eating habits together in some ways, like including more fruits and veggies, eating less take out so I’m hopeful we’ll be able to figure out how to combine living together with being healthy together.
Last night I tried out a new recipe: Grilled Halloumi tacos with chickpeas & peppers. It was interesting as neither of us had tried halloumi before and found it okay but ultimately we liked the chickpea mixture more so I think the next time we’ll use the chickpeas with grilled chicken or vegetables instead.
I don’t have anything else to add so I’m going to end the post with this:

I love Sims. I don't have the original one anymore, I have Sims 2 and Sims 3, all the expansion packs. It is pretty much electronic doll house. Which is fine. I have not done Sims 4 yet because I think my PC will need an upgrade to run it plus the reviews didn't blow me away. I go through spurts too, I think that is the nature of Sims. It's such a time sink, you can't play it forever or you would get nothing done anywhere else!!

Yeah, I'm probably not going to pick up Sims 4 either. It looked interesting at first with some of the interaction and building features but then I started reading the reviews and how much was cut out compared to the older games.

It's sooo hard to eat well and exercise for me, too, since moving in with my boyfriend. I don't even know why? Like what changed? We're working on it but it's really hard! Kudos to you and yours for at least making it to the gym and trying healthy recipes :)

I know for me it's the lack of alone time, it was always easier to squeeze in exercise when I had oodles of alone time. I wish you guys good luck with working on it though and thanks!

I used to play this online game called Second Life and I'd make my avitar fight other avitars and I had one that was a male stripped named Tennessee Lush hahaha

Just kidding, and yes, the fights are pretty funny. Especially since after fighting so many of my sims roll a want to see the other person's ghost lol.
