Hmm, that's hard to say. I'll recommend anything I enjoyed but I personally have low standards when it comes to movies (you should see my terrible movie collection lol) so it's hard to be more objective on the quality of the film. For me, part of the reason I enjoy going to movies is the act of going to a movie so that tends to colour my view. I think if you like space movies in general or liked Gravity or Interstellar when they came out that yes, you'll probably like The Martian too although it's closer to Gravity in terms of feel/speed. If I had to pick one of those three recent space movies to watch again I'd pick the Martian. It's better paced and the characters were more interesting to me. However, if you hated Interstellar or Gravity and/or hate Matt Damon then I think you might want to pass on this one then.
