My brain is mush lately

I’ve been feeling wiped out the last two weeks, hence the lack of posting. The big project has been organizing and hanging the annual staff & faculty art exhibit we have at the library. In the past I helped out the main organizer, Joanne but with her retirement last year, I’ve become the main organizer. A big adjustment and a lot more communication work than I was expecting, it was surprisingly time & energy consuming. Anyway, it is up and I’ve put some pictures behind a cut below.

The only thing I have left to do is post pictures on our Library gallery Facebook page but I have been weirdly anxious about it so I’ve been procrastinating. I will get it posted by Friday and I keep reminding myself it’s not a huge deal, I already have the show announcement up & the art is up, those are the most important things.

…yet still anxious and my brain feels like TV static.

So, I’ve decided to take some vacation time for Friday & Monday so I can have a long weekend because I need to recharge and not be at work for a few days. It helps that I have a bunch of vacation time I need to use up thanks to not taking much time off while we were working from home.

Objectives for my time off:
+ Pay my taxes
+ Find a spring/fall jacket that is good for changeable weather and isn’t a hoodie.
+ Read comics on my shelf I’ve been meaning to read
+ Get outside when I can and the weather isn’t crap.

I used to change the art out at the cafe every 3 months or so, and god was it ever a pain in the ass.

Thanks! Hanging art is a pain, isn't it? It's pretty and satisfying when it's all up but id does take a surprising amount of time. Plus there's always a couple pieces that are tricky or have those small hooks that feel like treading a needle to get them on the wall.

We had a DIY rail system (curtain rods, D-clips, and heavy duty wire that I made in 2014 and it lasted the whole 6 years there) but it was always a balance with color, size, shape, and white length of wire hanger to use. Luckily I was an interior designer in my younger life, so all that was pretty fun, it was the actual climbing on the ladder part that was a pain. Surprised I didn't fall and hurt myself more lol. The biggest fall was into a couch, where my foot got sorta stuck and unearthed a wallet that the girl sitting on the other couch at that very moment, had lost a month ago lol. She'd already replaced everything by then but it was still nice for her to have the wallet back.
