Friday Five

1. What kind of bugs do you see outside this time of year?

Ants, moths, and I saw my first bee yesterday while I was mowing the grass dandelions. I know, I know. I did let the dandelions grow throughout May but now that other flowers are coming out and the dandelions are high I felt the desire to tidy up the lawn a little.

2. What's your favorite food to eat outside?

Ice cream on a hot day that isn’t too windy. Sandwiches, the kind you’d take on a picnic are a close second, followed by apples. Essentially anything I remember eating outside as a kid I now realize.

3. How much rain is too much rain?

It really depends on the kind of rain. 4 days of normal rain in a row starts to feel like too much because by that point I just want to see the sun again. Heavy downpours are too much once there’s flooding. If I could get rid of one type of rain without disastrous consequences, it would be freezing rain. The after effect is very pretty but some of the scariest driving experiences I’ve ever had were after freezing rain.

4. What are you celebrating this month?

Pride and my boyfriend’s birthday.

5. What's your favorite color combination?

Orange and blue, specifically vibrant hues like this colour palette:

I had a good laugh imagining it being a very hot day, as well as windy, and the ice cream cone melting and blowing away on the breeze. Like something you'd see in a cartoon >_
