Nightmare before Christmas & other highlights
We have a dedicated wall on campus for graffiti and I was delighted to see some Nightmare before Christmas inspired art work recently:

Like so many young folks, I absolutely made loving Nightmare before Christmas a part of my personality growing up...even though I never heard about Hot Topic until my early 20s :P It's kind of funny to me how wide spread & easy it is to find merch for Nightmare before Christmas compared to when I first fell in love with the movie. Younger me would have probably loved this and bought way too much so I'm kind of glad the explosion of stuff happened later so I didn't spend much on it. Now that said, I do have a handful of collectibles but those were all gifts from loved ones.
Other highlights of the week so far:
+ I got a manicure yesterday. It's been well over a decade since I've had my nails painted by a nail technician at a salon. I'm more the type to paint them at home because it's so pricey but it was really nice to have someone else do them along with the shaping & cuticle maintenance I tend to neglect.
+ The Mindfulness class went well this week, I've been finding parts of the practice easier and we have less homework thankfully :P We're supposed to do a full day retreat later this month and I'm curious to see what that will be like.
+ The weather has been gorgeous and I think the sunny week has been helping my mood & mind a lot.
+ I've been enjoying quite a few shows lately, such as House of Dragons, She-Hulk, Andor, and Rings of Power as well as our seasonal tradition of watching Halloween Baking Championship & Halloween Wars on Food Network. I've recently gotten into putting on old episodes of Unsolved Mysteries for background noise and that's been a trip down memory lane. My older cousin & I used to watch it religiously when we were growing up, every week we'd curl up on the couch or in my bedroom to watch it on the old 14 inch. I love it but the theme music still sends shivers down my spine.

I used to watch Unsolved Mysteries all the time as a kid. And Rescue 911. Nostalgia, for sure!

Omg, Rescue 911! I forgot about that one, we used to watch that too.
